Goo Goo Dolls Biography and Event Details

Formed in Buffalo, New York, in 1986, Goo Goo Dolls developed from punk and alternative beginnings into one of pop rock's most familiar bands. Frontman John Rzeznik and bassist Robby Takac have led the group through a career spanning more than three decades. Their 1998 album Dizzy Up the Girl delivered enduring hits including “Iris,” “Slide” and “Black Balloon,” while earlier and later releases such as A Boy Named Goo and Chaos in Bloom show the breadth of the band's catalog.

“Iris,” known for its emotional songwriting and wide-reaching popularity, is often a defining live moment, with audiences joining in for a communal singalong. “Name,” “Here Is Gone” and “Big Machine” are also among the group's notable songs. The supplied event lineup lists Def Leppard and The Struts alongside Goo Goo Dolls; specific set times and the running order have not been provided.

The show takes place in downtown Nashville, a city with a deep musical identity and a busy calendar of live performances. Check event details close to the date for any updates to the lineup, schedule or venue arrangements. More event information is available at concertnashville.com.

Venue and Seating Information

Bridgestone Arena is a large indoor venue in central Nashville, suited to arena-scale concerts with a full stage production. The specific stage layout and seating configuration can vary by event, so consult the event's seating map before choosing tickets.

Floor seats can put concertgoers close to the performers, while lower-bowl seats offer an elevated perspective across the stage and arena. Upper-level seats are generally a more budget-conscious way to experience the show, though they are farther from the stage. Prices currently start around $120, with availability and exact costs depending on section.

Parking Information

Parking availability and rates can change for major events, so verify current details before leaving. Downtown garages and surface lots provide options within walking distance, while arriving early can help with traffic and make it easier to find a space.

• Consider official arena or nearby downtown parking facilities and confirm event-day access, hours and pricing in advance.
• Review nearby public garages and surface lots for current rates; compare walking distance and post-event traffic before booking.
